Another year gone.
It feels like not much has happened this past year, but if I actually look back and think on it, there has been a lot that's happened.
-I did some great freelance jobs earlier in the year that were great experiences. You can see the art for one of the jobs in my gallery.
-I got a new job, finally left Kohls, and I'm working full time as an illustrator/concept artist!
-I moved in with my boyfriend and adopted a puppy! Her name is Karris, she's six months old, and she's a black lab/retriever mix. And I love her to death, she's such a little sweetie.
-I've made some real progress on the story development of my screenplays (especially during this last month).
-My illustrations, although you can't see what I'm doing for my new job because of NDA, are becoming much more realistic and detailed.
-I've really gotten into cosplay this year. At CONvergence I had two new costumes, Psylocke, and Black Widow (The Avengers version). I also wore Leeloo again. And at the Renaissance Festival I had a Tallis costume (the character that Felicia Day played in the Youtube mini-series Dragon Age: Redemption). You can see photos on my website.
Overall, I feel like 2012 was a decent year for me. But 2013 is going to be even better!
This year I am planning on getting a first draft written for all of my stories (minus Transference, which I have shelved for the time being - even though it's my favorite poster) within six months. It's going to require a lot of time and concentration, but I'm going to try very hard to accomplish this goal.
I'm also going to be doing photorealistic character portraits, kind of as a means of promoting these stories. So you should be seeing those getting uploaded onto here soonish.
